This is a long-exposure photograph of the Atlas V rocket that was launched 3 days ago. It carried technology called the SBIRS Geo-3, which a missile detection system. This device will be added to our orbital missile detection network. I found this image to be very interesting because it traces the long gravity turn of the rocket going into orbit.
